Knock, knock Michelle Obama, David Dixon is standing at your door. The Toronto-based designer opened his show with a slew of chic ensembles composed of silk and chiffon dresses, draped, knee-length shifts and architectural tulip skirts in vibrant, cheerful shades of yellow and blue peppered white and black. It was the chiffon details that really got me excited: gorgeously delicate, petal-like chiffon ruffles (that fluttered beautifully as the models walked) to textured appliqué flowers and folds. The show closed with a breathtaking white Grecian-style, one-shoulder dress—completely presidential-worthy. Mrs O, I hope some time soon you’ll make room in your closet for your neighbors to the north and when you do, you can start right here with Mr. Dixon.
