I hope the Easter long weekend was just as glorious in your neck of the woods as it was out here in Toronto (we hit a high of 24C–woot woot!)
Now I realize its extremely difficult to think of the bitter cold that will inevitably hit us next winter, but last Thursday evening, I was gazing longingly at Rudsak’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection—and they gave us a perfect demonstration of how to look undeniably stylish, feminine and bundled up next winter—no matter what your taste. Here are a few of my fave looks from Thursday night’s show.

These two styles just sing to me–they have the word “Liv” written all over them. Sophisticated, polished and warm. Loves.

I’m normally not a fan of a puffer coat unless I’m on a snow covered mountain top somewhere in Norway, but I do love these two belted versions. And those driving gloves on the model to the right are pretty dang chic too–I could easily see myself sporting those right now!
These two coats also get my vote–they look mighty toasty in a gypsy-chic sort of way.
So, what do you think–which one (or two or three…) would you nab?

Talk about good timing: With freezing temperatures on the way, the Montreal-based brand’s e-commerce site lets you shop for chic winter coats and accessories from the cozy comfort of your own home. Right now you’ll find the line’s signature leather bags online, but stay tuned for shiny parks and military-inspired coats featuring luxe leather and fur details. Cold weather? Bring it on.

Were you glued to the riveting season finale of Mad Men like I was? Before I go any further, let’s take a few minutes to dish about last night’s episode: am I alone in being completely baffled by Betty’s interest in Henry? And poor Don—he really had a mind-bending week, huh? I am incredibly relieved to see smoldering Joan back in the “office” and conservative Peggy revealing a new feisty edge. I was praying to spy Sal but no such luck—I suppose some appearances will have to wait until Season 4. Click on the jump to read more. Read the rest of this entry »

Today is the first day of spring and I am still weighed down by my heavy wool coat! While I’ve been looking for the perfect transitional pieces (well, the ideal piece is a Burberry trench but it’s slightly substantially out of my budget comfort zone!), I haven’t found something that felt right until I came across this cool convertible trench from Elizabeth and James on Net-à-Porter: It’s perfect except for the fact that it’s sold out in every size but a 2 (which I am most definitely not!) and the price is a little bit steep too. And then: shopping serendipity! I found something strikingly similar, slightly more affordable version from a Canadian label to boot.
What’s this new addition to my spring wardrobe? The deets — after the jump!
