No sooner did my toes touch down on Toronto soil following my trip to Madrid, than I was zipped off in the other direction to sunny Las Vegas! I skipped into Sin City to fete Thomas Sabo’s latest boutique opening, mingle with their invited celebs and film a poolside bathing suit segment with Entertainment Tonight Canada. I chatted with the astonishingly pretty Olivia Palermo of The City fame (oh, what I would give to have her closet and borrow her Hermes Birkin!) and Nicky Hilton (whose eyes are a startling icy blue in person). Scroll down to see a photo recap of my recent weekend blitz to Vegas.
Both Olivia and Nicky are Thomas Sabo jewelry bobble fans—and are you curious as to what they fancy?

Nicky Hilton is a self-confessed “charm freak” and adores anything with feathers, particularly the large feather pendant ($198) that was hanging around my neck. During the party, she even slapped down her own credit card to pay for a few sparkly items—no freebies for this gal!

Olivia, on the other hand never leaves the house without a statement-making cocktail ring—she truly is a girl after my own heart! Just check out the Thomas Sabo stunner ($429) she’s wearing on her left hand! She told me she has a summer crush on Thomas Sabo’s bright orange ceramic watch ($589). And I have to agree—it would add a delicious punch of colour to any summer outfit.

Following a ridiculously fun (and very late night) after-party celebration at Tao Night Club (conveniently located adjacent to TS’s new boutique) with the folks from Thomas Sabo, I woke up (not quite as bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as normal) to film a bathing suit segment with Angie Smith from Entertainment Tonight Canada. We headed over to the breathtakingly fabulous Caesar’s Palace pool and got straight down to business. It was an absolute scorcher by the time we started to film (115F / 46C!!!) and not a bit of shade in sight! Thankfully Joe, ET’s camera man, filmed from afar, because both Angie and I wore silk (Angie in an adorable French Connection silk romper and me in a DvF silk top and white Ben Sherman shorts)–it was not our wisest move, as silk showed far too clearly that we were melting in the sizzling heat. I have never, EVER felt so hot in my life!! Here are few behind the scene shots with our beautiful models.

Our scantily clad models looked fabulous in some of this season’s hottest bathing suit trends including ruffles, neon, nautical prints and cutout silhouettes. From left: purple ruffles and neon ruffles (Zeugari), blue and white stripes (Diesel), red cutout (Zeugari) and light green nautical 2-peice (Zeugari). PSST! For all 2010 Zeugari swimwear, if you type in “ET CANADA PROMO” you’ll get 30% off!

As soon as we wrapped, Angie and I opted to skip Vegas shopping (I know this seems like a crazy move, huh?) and headed straight into Casear’s beautiful turquoise pool to join our models for a very refreshing and well deserved dip. Who can blame us when the water looks that enticing?
