larabar-tropicalFor me, eating an energy bar is usually as delicious and delightful as gnawing on a dog biscuit. Still, the “theory” of an energy bar makes sense: lots of nutrients in a two-bite-sized package for convenient munching after yoga, spinning or just for when the afternoon hunger strikes. Only problem: most bars taste just plain awful. Enter Larabar. Nutrient-packed with fruit and nuts, this bar is neither dry nor bland, but chewy, tasty and finger lickn’ yummy. It’s also gluten- and dairy-free, vegan- and kosher-approved. Brownie points to Larabar for the eye-popping neon orange packaging of their newest flavour, Tropical Fruit Tart. My belly and eyes are wowed! It’s definitely a healthy substitute for my 3 o’clock run to Tim Hortons.
