The rain didn’t put a damper on last night’s 82nd Academy Awards–it was awash with glitz and glamour as Hollywood’s big stars paraded along the red-carpet in their most celebratory frocks. Similar to the Golden Globes shimmering metallics, glorious ruffles, sweetheart necklines, pastels shades and soft nudes were the key trends worn at this year’s spectaular event.

Chanel’s International Makeup Director, Peter Philips, is bringing makeup to a whole new level with a new line of temporary tattoos. The feminine tattoos are a way to decorate the body with the emblematic creations of the fashion house including the infamous double C logo.

Kate Hudson recently hit the red carpet in a sequined flower-print Chanel Haute Couture dress for the New York premiere of her upcoming film Nine.

But she’s not the only one sporting flower prints in freezing temperatures: Stephanie and I were snapped last week (Grey Cup in hand!) channelling sunnier days in bloom-print pieces.

In the spirit of seasonless dressing, we paired our floral-print fashions with a cozy cardi (on her) and opaque black tights (on me) to get more mileage out of our warm-weather wear.
