Benefit Full-Finish Lipstick in Flirt Alert

Over the weekend — when I tend to play with makeup a little bit more because, well, I have more time! — I found my perfect red lipstick: Benefit’s Full-Finish lipstick in “Flirt Alert.”

Aside from the perfect name and sleek black tube, I love that it is rich and creamy (even if you glide it onto semi-chapped lips like I did), provides full coverage but doesn’t bleed and is the perfect candy-apple red colour with a little bit of shine. While it’s not the longest wearing lipstick, I love that the moisturizing formula stains, so even as it faded after eating and sipping a latte, my pout wasn’t left bare.

I’m battling a cold — and a few blemishes. Way to kick a girl when she’s down. Normally when I’m dealing with pesky zits I just reach for the concealer, but Benefit Lemon Aid colour-correcting eyelid primer has changed my tune. I use this little gem to brighten up my eye area (Brightening is way better than concealing!), but this morning I decided to dab a little on my blemishes and found that it did a great job at neutralizing the redness. I followed up with just a tiny touch of concealer and was all set. Loves the multipurpose!
