Fall ‘09 denim forecast (Hope you like ‘em tight!)

And while there’s lots to be excited about (funky ’80s washes, bright colours and lots of premium-yet-super-affordable labels), there’s one style — one that I happen to love — that’s fallen off the fashion radar.

Boyfriend jeans and Katie Holmes

Did you notice today’s buy of the day? Yup, boyfriend jeans, a style that has been ubiquitous on Mrs. Tom Cruise this week. Poor Katie — ahem — Kate Holmes is taking a lot of heat from the fashion media this week for wearing her jeans (or Tom’s jeans, who knows?) everywhere. I have to confess: I don’t think she looks as terrible as everyone claims she does. That being said, seeing as it’s denim month at LOULOU, I have seen *lots* of jeans these days and boyfriend jeans fall into that I-like-them-on-everyone-but-me category.
