Today after much anticipation Victoria’s Secret opens the door of their very first Toronto store at Yorkdale Mall (it’s not Canada’s first, lucky Albertians got that honour early this month at West Edmonton Mall). It’s a huge, modern and sparkling store (literally, the floor tiles glitter!) and yesterday it was crawling with gorgeous Angels. At the official ribbon cutting ceremony, I chatted with supermodels Adriana Lima and Chanel Iman, and I’m telling you my girl crush quota has skyrocketed! There is a common misconception that Dutch gals are obsessed with practicality and function when it comes to style and design. After spending 4 days in this beautiful country, I tend to disagree—just look at the photos I posted yesterday of chicks wearing high heels on bikes! I rest my case. When most people think of Amsterdam, you think of canals, tulips and bikes (that’s the G rated version anyway)–and rain or shine the gals of this city cruise around on two wheels in very inspirational summer outfits indeed. They make me fantasize about jumping on a bike and filling a wicker basket with fresh flowers and a baguette.
