Deierlein at Aldo
Am I the only one going crazy for cross-body bags these days? My closet is filled with totes and clutches but lo and behold, I do not own a single cross-body bag (full disclosure: practicality isn’t always my number one priority!). Needless to say, the focus of my most recent shopping sprees has been finding the perfect daytime bag that will leave me blissfully hands free.
The winner? This number from Aldo: Perfect size, expensive-looking hardware and in an ideal neutral to go with spring’s utilitarian vibe. Oh and it’s a steal at $80 — especially for real leather! — leaving me with some money to splurge on an evening-worthy style. Net-à-Porter, here I come! Have you found your perfect spring bag yet? Twitpic it to @louloumagazine
P.S. While you’re on the Aldo site, don’t miss the campaign video shot by Terry Richardson and featuring Jessica Stam. Loves!

NEW YORK - FEBRUARY 11: A model walks the runway at the BCBGMaxAzria Fall 2010 Fashion Show during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2010 - Official Coverage at Bryant Park on February 11, 2010 in New York City. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for Mercedes-Benz)
I was lucky enough to catch what is being touted as one of Lubov and Max Azria’s best BCBG collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week late last week. Chic, simple and wearable are three words that perfectly sum up the looks.
What else caught my eye? Two styling tips: First, layering long-sleeved tees under dresses (perfect for wearing our summer frocks a little early, don’t you think?) and second, cream coloured tights (go buy a pair on sale now, I promise you’ll thank me next fall!).
Is anyone following the FW10 shows? Who is your favourite so far?

I may be heading to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC tomorrow but my heart will be in Vancouver: Along with my stilettos and ultra-chic all-black ensembles, I’m packing my Red Mittens and this Roxy hoodie, perfect for blogging from my hotel lobby. After all, a girl’s gotta represent!
I’m all over the Olympic collections — are you? Who will be decked out in Canada gear to watch the Opening Ceremonies on Friday?

Despite their super-trendy status this winter, I have been hard-pressed to find snoods that meet my criteria: they must be very bulky and must wrap around my neck at least twice. Hence, you can imagine how happy I was when I received a package containing the perfect one — in my favourite colour, no less! — from Spratters & Jayne. Handmade with luxe Peruvian Highland Wool, they ring in at a slightly-sticker-shock-inducing $164 but I can guarantee that one of these beauties will a) earn you a zillion compliments b) last several seasons c) keep you ultra-warm and chic and finally d) cure the mid-winter blues. Money well spent? I’d say so: Mine has been looped around my neck permanently for weeks!

Love snowboarding/skiing? Love Marc Jacobs? You’ll go bananas for this exclusive-to-Holts, limited edition, ridiculously adorable tee from Marc by Marc Jacobs — I know I did. It hits Holts on January 25th and retails for $65 (and I’ve already warned my boss that I’d be late that morning — see you there!)
