Attention, shoppers: If you come across any Luella clothing in stores, be sure to snap it up. The British label announced today it has lost its financial backer, VSQ Limited. The news comes on the heels of another blow to designer Luella Bartley (who happens to have won the title of British Designer of the Year in 2008): The brand’s RTW producer Carla Carini closed down last month, forcing Bartley to cancel all orders for her spring 2010 collection. So, sadly, any Luella you see might be the last of what you can get. Anyone else hoping this recession will be “so 2009” by next year?
