ChanelI’m all about a good sale but let’s face it: Every beautista splurges here and there on select beauty products. Among several awesome lines, Chanel is one of my absolute fave splurge-worthy brands.

In case you haven’t already figured it out, this season is all about dark hues. This entire collection has a black undertone to it and it’s totally chic. One of my fave pieces of the collection is a nail polish called Forbidden ($26). It’s a matte purple shade that is totally on trend this season.

I’m also a big fan of the Folies Noires eyeshadow quad ($68). The shades vary from dark, shimmering green to purple, brown and blue-all with black undertones. You can use one shade or mix up a few for a totally intense gaze. I’d suggest you finish it off with the Inimitable Mascara ($36). Nothing completes a smoky eye like a thick, super black mascara that lengthens and adds volume.

I can’t tell you how hot the dramatic eye is this season. If you’re going to splurge on a trendy collection, it should be this one. Although the dark hues combined are an of-the-moment trend, separately, they are absolutely timeless.
