How to get Kate Hudson’s MET Gala hairdo
Celebrity hair stylist, David Babaii, gave us the scoop on how he gave Kate Hudson (and other celebs like Liv Tyler and Stella McCartney) fabulous hair for this year’s MET Gala.
Get the celebrity hair stylist’s insider tips after the jump.
David Babaii has recently styled hair for Brangelina (yes both of them!) for the Oscars and has also worked on Nicole Kidman and other fabulous stars. Judging by Kate Hudson’s luscious locks in this photo (I hate how amazing she always looks!!), he’s a pro and I totally wanted to know how he got her hair to look so gorgeous!
“To start, I sprayed our David Babaii for WildAid Bohemian Beach Spray and distributed it evenly through the hair to create the volume, texture and lift I was looking for,” David says about Kate’s luscious locks. Then he lightly blow dried her hair and used only his hands—no brush. It kept Kate’s hair looking loose and free. After softly crunching her hair for natural-looking waves, David finished off with a light spray to hold the look in place and Kate showed off her gorgeous hairdo all night long.
So simple, right? Doesn’t it make you feel silly for not already knowing how to do this? You can even try out some of David’s other super simple celeb styling tips. Spray root lifting spray before curling your hair with an iron to give your ‘do that extra boost or use a large round brush for soft waves.
