Gucci platform sandalsFlipping through LOULOU’s April issue, I found found a fab pair of shoes (actually, I found several but I tried to narrow down my blogging to one single item).

What do you think of them?

These shoes were selected for the magazine by Christian Lavergne, senior buyer for women’s designer footwear at Holt Renfrew (page 30). The Gucci platforms have a 15cm heel and retail for $1,295. (Ya, just a tad out of my price range, too.) Christian describes the gunmetal pumps as perfect for spring and I totally have to agree.

I have fallen in love with these pumps that I can’t afford. I’m a sucker for anything with buckles and multiple ankle straps. I’m just a touch disturbed by the gunmetal and gold combo but I can live with it. All in all, Christian has opened my eyes and showed me hot pair of sandals. True, I can’t have them but I can get something similar! Am I alone on this or does anyone else think these rock?
