Ho, ho, woof! Get ready for a holiday-inspired Kodak moment for your pampered pooch–Santa’s coming to town. If you’re in Toronto this Sunday, then head on down to Timmie Doggie Outfitters on Queen St W and Fido can have his or her photo taken on Santa’s lap. It’s all for a good cause too—there is no charge for the photo, but in keeping with the holiday spirit, the shop owners have asked for a donation in lieu of a fee. All proceeds to benefit the Toronto Humane Society.
In the name of adorable-cuteness and a very worthy cause, my bulldog, Marmalade and I will be patiently standing inline. And she will undoubtedly walk away with new toy or two, as everything will be 15% off (excluding food and treats).

I’ve had a girl crush on Katharine McPhee ever since following her on the only season of American Idol I’ve ever watched. (For me she somehow managed to make up for Ryan Seacrest and, well, the entire panel of judges.) Anyway, she recently went blonde and chopped off her long, flowing locks. When a slew of unflattering pics hit the web, I started wondering whether it was time to call off the girl crush.
But then I came across this photo Katharine as a blonde. When styled correctly, the new ’do can actually look rather lovely on her.
I still think long brown curls look best on her, but what’s your verdict? Does Katharine look better as a blonde or as a brunette?

Fidelity's Super Stretch jeans
Taking a look around the LOULOU office, I’ve noticed that most of us don’t wear pants. No, we’re not emulating Gaga (though many of us do have Bad Romance on repeat) but we have a fondness for tights and leggings with dresses/longer tops. Hence, our jeans are not seeing the light of day as often as they used to and I must admit that when I opt for jeans, I’m not nearly as comfortable as I am in my daily go-to black tights.
Thing is, denim was a major trend on the SS10 runways. How are labels making us want to wear tight, skinny jeans again? They’re tweaking their denim to be extra-comfy stretchy: Most of Diesel’s styles have stretch now, Fidelity is introducing “Super Stretch” jeans, Second’s “Yoga Jeans” are available in more washes than ever and “jeggings” are available just about everywhere from Dynamite to Net-à-Porter.
So I need to know: Are you on board with this look? (Nay-sayers better have compelling arguments if they’re saying no to comfort!)

Nashville’s all-American rockstars, Caleb, Jared, Nathan and Matthew (aka Kings of Leon) will follow in France’s notorious electric house musical export, Justice’s footsteps by being the next band to collaborate with creative group, Surface To Air for their next capsule collection (WWD).
S2A x KOL will reflect the band’s rocker ethos with pieces like bandanas and (of course) a sure-to-be-sell-out leather jacket. Described as a ready-to-wear and accessories line, the pieces will be available for purchase come January at S2A’s Paris store and stateside at Barneys New York.
Officially, it’s a menswear line but I’m guessing the staples will be hits with the band’s (model) girlfriends and their It-girl friends…not too mention girls like myself who have yet to find the perfect leather jacket and are pretty sure a S2A/rock star option has a damn good chance at being THE ONE!
